BLACK CARD MEMBER GIVES BACK!  JOURNALIST, DEL WALTERS

AL JAZEERA AMERICA JOURNALIST, DEL WALTERS
2012 Philanthropic endeavors have provided Multiple Scholastic Awards to Bowie State College (MD)

Del Walters is one of Washington's most prolific investigative reporters.  During a broadcast career that spanned three decades he was awarded more than 20 Emmys for investigative reporting and hundreds of other national and international awards.  For two decades he was a fixture on the evening news as an Anchor/Investigative Reporter at the ABC News affiliate in Washington D.C.

An award winning documentary film producer, political columnist, and broadcaster, Walters has appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show, been a commentator on the Chris Matthews show, and Unsolved Mysteries to name a few.  His film, Apocalypse Africa made in America premiered at the Cannes International Film Festival.  His first love, however, is writing and his family.

Wereth, the Black Parade is his second full length novel.  Del’s first book, The RACE, is a political thrill ride about the nation’s first black president.  Ironically it was published a full year before Barack Obama arrived on the political scene.  He is also the author of the non-fiction book, The Pottery Barn Rules, which chronicles the CIA’s involvement in Africa.

Del Walters currently lives in the suburbs of Washington D.C. with his wife Robin and their two daughters Taylor, and McClaine.
